Pioneering work with children

When Temmi established YogaBuds in 1994, she was the first to teach students of all ages, pioneering yoga instruction in Canada for children and families. Temmi trained with Dr. Geeta Iyengar on teaching yoga to children and co-authored a chapter on children's yoga with Dr. Iyengar in Yogadhara, a book written in commemoration of the 8oth birthday celebration of B.K.S. Iyengar.

Warmth and compassion tempered with strength

As evidenced in her classes, Temmi’s personal style embodies compassion, acceptance and strength, while her teaching motivates and challenges. She strives to empower students to achieve their potential and to instill confidence. Her classes are suffused with humour and storytelling, as she integrates yoga philosophy with daily life. Temmi’s goal is that every student leaves class with a more open heart, a feeling of equanimity and a sense of having accessed their deepest levels of being.

Iyengar Certification

Iyengar teachers are among the most highly trained yoga instructors in the world. Certification requires a three-to-five-year training program based on rigorous standards established by B.K.S. Iyengar.
